C-Gate IoT Connector Setup¶
Standard Configuration on Delivery
| Port | Default Setting |
|---|---|
| Port 1 (ETH1) | DHCP with substitute IP address |
| Port 2 (ETH2) | 192.168.1.100/24 |
First Connection to C-Gate IoT Connector¶
Direct Connection¶
- Connect the IoT Connector to your PC/laptop via Ethernet cable and make sure that it does not use a static IP address.
- Open a web browser and navigate to the IoT Connector address. This consists of
http://and the IP address labelled as ETH1 on the device label.
Example:http://169.254.128.76 - Log in with the user data printed on the label.
- Follow the displayed setup steps, configure the network settings according to your requirements, and restart the C-Gate IoT Connector.
Info
The label is located on the IoT Connector. Connect the Ethernet cable to the PC coupling on the control cabinet, or directly to the IoT Connector inside the control cabinet with connection/port 1 (ETH1).
Connection via the Company Network¶
Precondition: DHCP server is active in the company network.
- Read the MAC address on the label and enter it into your DHCP server.
- Connect the IoT Connector to your network via Ethernet cable.
- Open a web browser and navigate to the IP address assigned by the DHCP server.
Example:http://192.168.8.14 - Log in with the user data printed on the label.
- Follow the displayed setup steps, configure the network settings according to your requirements, and restart the C-Gate IoT Connector.
Info
For QINEO devices, connect the Ethernet cable to connector/port X77 on the back of the unit. The label is located below the connection.
Setting up the connector¶
After the initial connection, a setup wizard will appear on the web interface of your C-Gate IoT Connector to guide you through all the necessary steps for setting up the connector.
Info
If you have already completed the setup wizard, you can find it on the main page of your connector.
